This picture pretty well sums up our day...
Matty has bronchitis and pneumonia (diagnosed after his chest x-ray this morning), Juliet has strep. Everyone is crying. Matty is coughing. Hope the strong antibiotics kick in soon and get everyone healthy for Christmas!! (Please ignore the open case of Bounty paper towels. Mommy hasn't had a lot of time to clean up the past few days.)

Reindeer Daisy
This one was entirely Matty's doing, but Daisy was fine with it and it was too cute not to take a picture!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Gobble, gobble, turkey fans! Happy Thanksgiving to all and lots of turkey and side dishes tonight.
This year, Matty and Juliet celebrated a Thanksgiving feast at preschool and had to say what they are thankful for:
Juliet: I am thankful for: Matty. (awww--she loves her big brother!!)
Matty: I am thankful for: when my cousins let me play Disney Infinity (thankful for a video game, sounds about right :-) )
We are thankful for our Matty, Juliet, and Daisy and all of our family. Also thankful for a delicious Thanksgiving feast today!

Pumpkin Carving
I never realized how much work it was to carve pumpkins! I think they look pretty spiffy all lit up. We did a scary/mean faced jack-o-lantern, a silly jack-o-lantern, a minion (!), and a happy jack-o-lantern.

Matty and Juliet got to dress up for preschool and take part in the Halloween parade--looking good!

Happy Halloween!
Ok, so we are a little late to the Halloween recap party, but here are the trick or treating pictures of everyone dressed up! Matty went with the ghost costume and Juliet chose the strawberry. Daisy was a spooky spider.
Ryan the werewolf, Matty the ghost, Brendan the skeleton, and Juliet the strawberry!

Halloween Costume Fail -- Matty
Orange furry monster?? Matty loves the color orange and Mommy found a bargain Old Navy monster costume that she thought Matty might like. He did for about a day, but then decided that is not the costume for him.
Another addition for the dress up box....

Halloween Costume Fail -- Juliet
Usually, Mommy goes crazy and orders a half dozen costumes for Juliet, tries them all on, then selects the best one for Halloween festivities. This year, (or really last year), Mommy found a bargain Halloween costume after Hurricane Sandy on sale for $3! She couldn't pass it up and thought it would be perfect for Babes. We were all set for the strawberry costume, until Juliet started telling everyone and anyone who would listen that she decided on a different costume choice (stay tuned for that one.) Oh well--guess the strawberry wasn't meant to be. (Unless she changes her mind again on Halloween--entirely possible.)

Halloween Costume Fail -- Matty
Mommy really tried not to go overboard with Halloween costumes this year. But it is so hard to have the kids pick out a costume and stick with it while being constantly bombarded with Halloween displays and costume ideas.
Here is the first up on our Halloween Costume fail 2013.
About 2 months ago, while browsing a catalog, Matty decided he wanted to be a spider for Halloween. Since he was a spider 3 years ago, we broke out the costume to try it on for size. He changed his mind shortly afterwards. Since we already had the costume (and it was already borrowed from the cousins anyway), no problem with this costume stop-over.
Here are the picks from Matty the spider 2013 vs Matty the spider 2010.

Juliet MILESTONE **2 1/2 Yr Check Up**
My goodness, the time flies by. Our little baby is really a big girl now and just had her 2 1/2 year well visit. She passed with flying colors!
Here are her current stats:
That is a gain of 2 lbs and 2 inches in 6 months! She is growing right along the 25th %tile curve, which is great! She loves to eat, which her doctor said you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at her. However, if you ever witnessed her devour an entire bowl of mashed potatoes at a family dinner, you would know that she has quite a healthy appetite.
In other big girl news, Juliet is potty trained (woot!), sleeps in a big girl bed, and loves to say "I do it myself!"

Sartorial Choices
Someone picked out their outfit and got dressed on their own today. The other one had Mommy pick out the outfit. Guess who?
Matty was feeling like a rock star today--fake tattoo sleeves, black pants, sunglasses, and baseball hat. All topped off with a cool-dude attitude. Hey, at least it matched, right? Juliet was sporting pink pants (it should be noted that these are supposed to be capri pants, but work as full-length pants for our shortie) with a grey bow cardigan sweater, topped with a white bow.

Four Tired Puppies
Everyone is tired after a long day of soccer, soccer pictures, cookie baking, and cookie taste-testing.
Daisy has had enough of being used as a pillow--she's trying to get up now!
