The Sword and the Chandelier

So this happened...

The Valentine's Day balloons that Mommy and Daddy gave to Matty and Juliet of course floated up in the high ceiling above the front door.  So, Matty took his foam sword to try and rectify the situation.  His foam sword promptly became stuck in the chandelier.  Upon discovering the scene, Matty quickly blames Juliet for the sword fiasco.  After further pressing, he confesses.  Luckily, Mommy was able to save (and then take away) the foam sword and the balloons with her telescoping duster.

Valentine's Day outfits--everyone looking festive in red!

Juliet--Tonsil Free since Before 3!

Juliet had to have her pesky tonsils removed at the beginning of this month.  She was a trooper and only started to get upset when she was going on hour 16 of not eating while waiting for her surgery.  She has embraced the ice cream aspect of her recovery and has slowly added foods back into her diet.  It was a little strange at times--popsicles, ice cream, donut holes, black beans, yogurt, macaroni and cheese.  The food of champions!  Almost 3 weeks later she is back to being her normal self again.  The only lingering side effect of her surgery is that she thinks that 10am is ice cream time. 

5th Birthday Celebrations--complete!

Time to wind down and start to relax...

Cousin Sleepover

We hosted a cousin sleepover the other night.  The kids all had a blast and were completely exhausted for the next few days.
