New Ride

Juliet got a new ride for her birthday from Pop.  Matty is having a great time pushing Juliet around the house (and also taking turns riding in it). 

Buzz Cut

Matty got a hair cut!  So, after putting it off for way too long, my shaggy haired boy went off to get his hair cut and came back faster than ever.  Very streamlined.  It's his short summer 'do.

Bonus Video: Shampoo Commercial Hair

Juliet started tossing her head around to wiggle her hair as if she was starring in a shampoo commercial.  All day long--so funny.  Here is Juliet hamming it up for the camera...

Post Nap Snack

Matty and Juliet both took naps the other day and woke up in great moods (hooray!).  They sat on the couch and had a quick snack.  The box of Cheezits was not full--it only had about 15 cheezits left, but Matty loved being able to hold the box.

Egg Hunt--at this time of year??

It's only taken a month or two, but here is the footage from the Easter Egg Hunt that we went to this year.  I believe the entire "egg hunting" portion was over in under 2 minutes.  Slightly controlled chaos at it's best.  Part 1 shows the lead up to the hunt.  Part 2 is the actual Egg Hunt.....

Bonus Video: My Hat

Since I am behind in posting updates and have a ton of little videos, I thought I would try to post "Bonus Videos" as we catch up. This video shows Matty and Juliet playing the "My Hat" game, where Juliet takes the hat, Matty says "My Hat!" and Juliet giggles like crazy.  Watch out--it's a favorite game and she'll play with anyone (re:  steal your hat) :-)

Spoon Fed

Juliet was feeding herself oatmeal this morning--yum!  It was the first time that she was legitimately feeding herself.  Granted, she grabbed the bowl and spoon that I put down on the table next to her, so it was her first time getting the chance to feed herself.  Juliet--duly noted--you can feed yourself! :-)

Tiny Ugly Germs

Both Matty and Juliet picked up some tiny, ugly germs last week resulting in strep and an ear infection.  :-(  They are both happily on the mend now and we are all ready to get back to our regularly scheduled blog.

Matty-isms

I just went in to get Matty up from his nap (he actually fell asleep today!).  He looked at me and said, "I don't have the power to speak yet." Then he rolled back over and closed his eyes.

Splish Splash

Rub a dub dub, three kids in the tub. And who do you think they be?  Matty, Juliet, and their friend Zoe! 

We initially put the "big kids" Matty and Zoe in for a bath together, but Juliet sat on the floor and cried until I put her in to join the fun--she was very happy to be in the water!
