Juliet--Tonsil Free since Before 3!

Juliet had to have her pesky tonsils removed at the beginning of this month.  She was a trooper and only started to get upset when she was going on hour 16 of not eating while waiting for her surgery.  She has embraced the ice cream aspect of her recovery and has slowly added foods back into her diet.  It was a little strange at times--popsicles, ice cream, donut holes, black beans, yogurt, macaroni and cheese.  The food of champions!  Almost 3 weeks later she is back to being her normal self again.  The only lingering side effect of her surgery is that she thinks that 10am is ice cream time.

Cousin Sleepover

We hosted a cousin sleepover the other night.  The kids all had a blast and were completely exhausted for the next few days.

Matty's 5th Birthday Despicable Party!

Matty had a minion themed 5th birthday party at the gymnastics place where he takes lessons.  20 kids in all came and had fun running around and then ate some cupcakes, goldfish, water, and juice.  Matty did not enjoying getting sung to, but overall he had a great time!

It was a bit of a crazy 3 weeks at Land of Blue Ducks.  Matty's Birthday and kid party, Juliet's surgery and recovery, and lots of snow!  Trying to get caught up on everything and back to posting.  Stay tuned for rapid fire posts!

Matty 5 Year Old Stats *Milestone Alert*

Matty is growing like crazy.  Every day he seems to be taller and able to reach new things!  The animal he most resembles is probably a shark, since he never seems to stop moving, but maybe also a monkey with all his acrobatic antics. 

5 YEAR STATS:

Height:  44 inches (70th percentile)

Weight:  40 lbs (50th percentile)

That is a delta of 2 lbs and 2.5 inches in the past year!
