Pop Picks a Ride

At the boardwalk, Pop thought it would be fun to try out this one "bigger kid" ride.  He assured everyone that it wouldn't go too fast and it would be perfect for the 3 boys to try out.  He took Ryan and Brendan on and Mommy and Matty went on together.  The ride went incredibly fast and the centrifugal force was pushing everyone towards the outside of the ride.  I believe the action shot speaks for itself.  Hilarious.

Pt Pleasant Boardwalk

The weather hasn't been stellar beach weather lately, so we decided to hit up the Point Pleasant boardwalk during a cloudy day.  Pop, Aunt Jenny, and the Harmons joined us. 

The kids all had fun and each had a different favorite ride:
Juliet:  the Carousel
Matty:  the helicopters
Brendan:  the motorcycles
Ryan:  the bumper cars

More fun at the fair!  The kids enjoyed the rides.  Matty was able to go on quite a few, since he is already over 42 inches, but poor Juliet could only go on a couple since she is still under 36 inches (the big cut off).  Juliet's favorite ride was the Carousel and Matty's favorite ride was the giant slide. 

Mommy was thrilled that Juliet wanted to try a pony ride--yeah horses!  Matty was thoroughly uninterested by the pony and wanted to get back to the other rides.

In other news, we tried out a fried Twix.  It was delicious, but it is most definitely not an every day treat.  Maybe an every year or every 5 year treat?

Fair Time

Matty and Juliet got to check out the local fair and enjoy the rides.  First up--the boats! 

BadA$$ Ballerina

Don't mess with this ballerina!!  After dance class, Juliet decided to play with Matty's fair prize (inflatable camo gun) and capture the bad guy (Matty).  She may look cute, but don't mess with this tough lady!

Juliet tried out her very first dance class this week!  She certainly looked the part and was very excited to see what it was all about!  She did amazing for the first 30 minutes of class, but then I think she realized that Mommy and Matty were in the waiting room and not in the class with her.  :-( 

Hopefully she'll like the next couple classes.  It's only 4 classes for $10 in August to see if we like the place--not a bad trial.  Unless she cries every time.
