HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATTY!!!

MATTY IS 6 YEARS OLD TODAY!!!

My goodness, time is going fast!  He is growing by leaps and bounds everyday, eating all of our food, and being a ball of happy energy!  He plays lacrosse and soccer, runs around every chance he gets, and has a great positive attitude!  We love the infectious laughter that spills out of Matty every time he finds something absolutely hilarious!  (Bodily functions and what not.) He is learning so much in school (even a little French!) and teaches us what he learns like "digraphs"  (two-letter sounds that blend together like ch).  Can't wait to see how much he grows and learns as a 6 year old!

We love our Matty!!

Here is our annual birthday photo montage.  Hope you enjoy it!

Final Christmas Post

Look!  It's Thor!  Oh wait, that's Matty!  LOVING his new costumes...
All the ladies in the family--4 generations!
Juliet loves her ride on unicorn.  She likes to use it in lieu of a chair whenever possible...

Twas the Night Before Christmas...

Putting out the milk, cookies, and carrots for Santa!  Juliet said Mrs. Claus came to her preschool class and said that Santa needed some healthier snacks like lettuce and celery.  We opted to go traditional.  Milk and cookies at our house, carrots for the reindeer.

Over the Top Gifts

Juliet mentioned she wanted a unicorn for Christmas.  Santa brought her this one:

Aunt Susie gave her this RIDE ON UNICORN!!

Pop gave her a gigantic Hello Kitty.  I believe both of these gifts are bigger than our dog, Daisy.

2014 Resolutions

It's already the middle of January!  How did that happen?  Times a wasting...time for our 2015 Resolutions.  But first, let's check in on how we made out with the 2014 resolutions:

Matty's 2014 Resolutions:
1.  Learn to count to 100
Check!  Matty is a regular counting machine.  He sometimes tries to take the short cut and count by 10's.
2.  Learn his sight words
Check!  He is halfway through his sight words list and doing a fantastic job!
3.  Start kindergarten
Check!  Matty is having a great time in kindergarten.
4.  Ride the school bus to school all by himself
The first two days were tough...mostly for Mommy.  Matty loves the bus and has a great time taking it to and from school.
5. Take more swim lessons
Check!  Swim lessons over the summer--getting closer to being a fish in the water.
6.  Play more t-ball and soccer
Check!  Matty played t-ball, lacrosse, soccer, and took a gymnastics class in 2014!
7.  Learn to ride his bike without training wheels
Still working on this one.  He is super fast on his bike now.  Once the spring starts up, those training wheels will be history.
8.  Laugh--Keep that sense of humor
This is Matty we are talking about!  His infectious laughter is wonderful!

Juliet's 2014 Resolutions:
1.  Say goodbye to her beloved pacifier
RIP pacy.  We "lost" the pacy all the way back in Jan 2014!  Way to go!
2. Say goodbye to those pesky tonsils
Stupid tonsils!  We sent those boogers packing in February.  She didn't have strep in 2014!  (Ear infections are another story...)
3. Dance, dance into a dance class!
Our dancing girl!  Juliet loves music and is fully embracing dance class.  She loves going every week!
4. Take more swim lessons
Check!  Swim classes over the summer!
5.  Ride a big girl bike (with training wheels)
This one was tough...but she did it!  She is getting faster and faster on her bike!
6.  Stay in school
Very important.  She even loves walking in all by herself now.  She is quite the big girl.
7.  Learn to dress herself
Juliet can definitely get herself dressed and undressed these days!
8. Smile!
Love those smiles and laughter from our Juliet!
